Holiday Projects

It is getting close to the holidays so here are some ideas for what to do:

 

  • ·      Sing carols at a nursing home
  • ·      Hold a toy drive
  • ·      Adopt a family
  • ·      Mitten tree
  • ·      Salvation Amry bell ringing
  • ·      Food drive
  • ·      Holiday cards for senior citizens
  • ·      Insert your own ideas

A project that I really enjoy doing is santa calling. My club partners with the rec department. First letters are sent home with kids from school and parents fill them out. They include things that santa would know like sibblings, pets, have they been behaving and such. The form also includes phone number. Then on a night that was specified to parents we call the children and pretend to be santa. The kids really like it and it is a fun project.
