What I've been up to... -February
Sunday, February 12, 2012 at 10:54AM Hey Key Clubbers,
I hope that you’ve had a great 2012 so far! This month I’ve been really busy with Key Club activities. In January, I visited the South St. Paul Key Club and found that they were just starting a school-wide fundraising campaign called Pennies for Patients. Last year, they were the smallest school to participate in the fundraiser and raised the largest amount of money for the organization! I loved seeing this because their Key Club is making a huge impact! I’ve also been working at getting wooden roses out to clubs so that they can sell them for Valentine’s Day.
On January 27th-29th, the district board got together and planned Spring Convention. I’m really looking forward to the convention. We planned fun, educational, and service project based forums, and got the spring mailing ready. Your clubs should be getting the spring mailing soon and in it you will find information concerning registration for Spring Convention! I hope everyone is planning on coming this year!
In our January meeting we also discussed the International Convention that’s coming up July 2nd-9th in Orlando, FL. ICON is sure to be a great Key Club experience. Please consider attending ICON to grow in your Key Club experience!
Also, don’t forget to hold club officer elections this month!
I hope everyone enjoys my convention edition newsletter!
