What I've been up to... -January
Monday, January 16, 2012 at 1:30PM Hey Key Clubbers!
I hope everyone had a really good holiday and break from school. I also hope you had a chance to rack up some hours with all of the holiday season volunteering opportunities. Every year I love to volunteer with the Salvation Army and help with Christmas Anonymous. The last few weeks before winter break, my school participates in a school-wide fundraiser. This year, all the money we raised (over $20,000!) benefitted Bear Creek Services and the Eagles Cancer Telethon. My home club organized Paranoia, a school-wide game of tag, and we raised over $600 to go toward the total. I was very proud to be part of those amazing activities.
We’re now in a new year and with that comes many exciting Key Club opportunities. Spring Convention is coming up and the district board will be getting together to plan the convention in just a few weeks! Don’t forget to mark April 20-22 on your calendars for this event!
I will be visiting two to three clubs this month and I’m really excited to get the chance to see the clubs in action.
I hope everyone has a great start to the new year!
