District Administrators

Meet the Admin Team!

Kyle Hakala

I was once a Key Clubber myself from Hibbing High School in Division 3A. After I graduated, I stayed in the K-Family by becoming an intern for the Minnesota-Dakotas District. I later became an assistant admin, and now I’m the District Administrator. Along with helping Key Club, I’m a Kiwanian. People are often shocked when I tell them this because most of the time people think Kiwanians are old (but I’m not THAT old).

Mary Beth Townsend

I got involved in Key Club when I started working at Henry Sibley High School and they asked me to be the advisor. I had no idea what it was, but said yes. I didn’t truly understand what it was until I attended my first DCON in 2000, and then I was hooked! In my spare time, I love to write. Doctor Who fan fiction, science fiction and horror novels, a stat peg play or two, and am working in a young adult novel with a Key Clubber as the main character. I also volunteer with ISTE (International Society for Technology in Education.)

Nicole Bonfig

I am recent graduate of the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. I was involved in Key Club in high school, and had the honor to serve as District Governor in 2014-2015. I didn't want to leave service behind when I went to college and so I joined the board of administrators as an intern and now act as an assistant administrator. In my free time, I love to cook and run!

Lola Pollard

I joined the Webster, SD Kiwanis Club in 2001 after I moved here to take a job as a Physician at our local Hospital and was invited to speak at their Monday meeting.  I have held various jobs with the Kiwanis Club including multiple committees and I served a year as President.  I am currently the Lt. Governor for Division 5.  I became our Key Club Advisor in 2010 and have loved that position.  I am also the advisor to the Builders club.  In my spare time I enjoy camping and traveling.

Tessa Hilpipre

My name is Tessa! I am involved on the admin team because I was recruited by another admin (Kyle). I mostly work remotely and in my free time I enjoy exercising, Dungeons and Dragons, and planning/organization.

Administrative Intern

Ericka Larson

I am currently a Junior at Minot State University, majoring in Finance and International Business. I was active in Key Club (Division 1) all through high school, and served on the District Board for two years in 2014-2016. I am excited to take part of the administrative board as an intern this coming year. In my free time I enjoy listening to music and spending time with friends.
