Hello everyone! Welcome to the MinnDak Minute. This is a continually updated website page that highlights the most important events in MinnDak Key Club History.

Section 1 - Covid Disruption:

Since March of 2020, the world that we had become accustomed to changed. With that service and the work MinnDak did changed as well. With regards to service, it was quite difficult to try to serve others without being able to have direct contact with them. Therefore, service projects often had to adapt to being virtual. Some virtual service ideas consisted of virtual fundraisers, reaching out to a friend that you think needs some support, creating and signing petitions, mailing letters to the elderly in nursing homes, or playing games such as Free Rice, that donates rice by watching ads and playing trivia.

Particularly with MinnDak, we had to adapt to planning virtual events. Presentations, roundtables, and interactive activities all had to occur within the realm of zoom. On one hand, it was harder to create engaging activities virtually, and it was hard to change and shorten the pre-planned in person events to work well virtually! On the other hand, virtual events allowed for us to lower/completely remove the cost of attending, and so more people could come to our events. Minndak therefore met numerous times virtually to plan the events and also adapted to the use of resources such as Venmo to fundraise.
