A Guide to the Youth Opportunities Grant Program

What is the YOF Grant?

The Youth Opportunities Fund (YOF) is an endowed fund for Key Club International held within the Kiwanis Children's Fund.

Facts

Some fun facts are that YOF grants are only given to Key Clubs. Grants are not given to divisions or districts. Grant amounts are between US$250 to US$2,000. Applications for the grant must be submitted online by October 15 at 11:59 PM, EST. The applications are then reviewed by the Key Club board at the November meeting. Grant applicants are emailed of outcomes the first week of January, and a list of grant recipients are posted online the third week of January. The previous year’s dues must be paid before YOF grant checks can be issued. A YOF Final Grant Report is due at the end of the grant cycle (January 1).

Applying

To begin an application in Foundant, our new online grant making system, you must first create a club account on Foundant. This can be done from the Log On Page by clicking “Create New Account”. Once your account is created, you can login, then click on “Apply” and choose your preferred application language from the available selection. You will need to know your Key Club name, ID number and District to begin the application. This information can be found on the Membership Update Center. Once your club already has a Foundant account, you will use the existing login credentials. Please do not create another account if your club has previously applied via Foundant.
