Holiday Service Ideas

With the holidays approaching, now is a wonderful time to take in the holiday spirit and serve others! Here are a few service ideas that you could consider during this time. One idea would be to make holiday activity boxes. Winter break is often a longer break off from work/school, and so creating activity boxes for the less fortunate could be very helpful! Donating puzzles, coloring items, sports equipment, or any other toys, are a wonderful way to give back and ensure that others would have fun during their break! With this break it is also very valuable to donate food/bus passes to ensure that everyone can have basic amenities during their days off of school! Also, from lights to wreaths or ornaments, the holidays are often filled with jolly decorations! Decorating for those that are unable to, such as nursing homes, is another wonderful way to serve others during this season! Furthermore, it is not always necessary to spend money in order to serve. Things as simple as singing a cheery song to the elderly, or shoveling the driveway for a neighbor, can cause a large positive impact!
