Serving on the District Board

DCON is only a couple of months away which means it is almost time to elect a new District board! Officer elections for the coming year will be held at DCON, so make sure to attend if interested. You have the option to run for Lieutenant Governor (“LTG”), District Bulletin Editor, Secretary, Treasurer, or Governor. 

As an LTG you would be responsible for sending out monthly newsletters, like the one you’re reading now, to keep clubs in your division updated. You would host monthly Presidential Council Meetings (PCMs) with Key Club Officers. You will have the opportunity to serve on two to three committees of your choosing and work on projects you’re passionate about. You would fill out monthly Lieutenant Governor Reports (LGRs) to show the Executive board your progress. You would have the opportunity to meet and work with other like-minded, community-focused individuals. You must attend all if not most district events and district/committee meetings. Finally, LTGs are responsible for maintaining a Divisional Instagram page.

As District Bulletin Editor you would run the District social media (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.) Run the MinnDak website, create the MinnDak magazine, write and promote articles, and chair the Public Relations Committee.

The District Secretary is responsible for writing and organizing all meeting minutes, chairing the review committee, and sending out and reviewing the LGRs. 

The Treasurer deals with all District finances, as Treasurer you would chair the event planning committee and create the District events’ budget. 

As Governor you will be responsible for overseeing the entirety of the District board. The Governor will; chair the executive committee, represent the District on the International Committee, and create monthly board meeting agendas.
