Miracle Treat Day

According to a study done by scientists at London’s Center for Neuroimaging Sciences, eating ice cream activates a positive response from the brain’s orbitofrontal cortex and makes people happy. On another note, the Children’s Miracle Network organization works to save and improve the lives of millions of kids, which is also cause for happiness. Therefore, why wouldn’t you want to maximize that happiness on Miracle Treat Day?

Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) is a non-profit organization that raises funds and awareness for 170 member hospitals that provide over 32 million treatments annually to children across the United States and Canada. Since its creation in 1983, CMN has raised over $5 billion for funding critical treatments, healthcare services, pediatric equipment, and charitable care. They receive many of these funds from fundraising partners and programs, one of such being Miracle Treat Day.

Miracle Treat Day is an annual fundraising event for CMN sponsored by Dairy Queen. You can go to your local Dairy Queen and purchase a Blizzard Treat of your choosing, with a portion of its profits being donated directly to a CMN hospital! Since 1984, Dairy Queen and Miracle Treat Day have raised over $150 million for CMN, and that number will continue to rise as long as people go and buy ice cream!
