Staying Active in Key Club

Staying Active in Key Club

COVID was already affecting Key Club (and everything else in the world), but now with stricter restrictions being passed by many states, staying active is even harder. However, don’t be discouraged! You can still be an active Key Clubber and an active member of your community. Here are just some of the steps you can take:

  1. Hold zoom meetings. Yes, meeting in person would be ideal, but they get the job done. Members can collaborate on service projects and plan for future events.

  2. Hold service projects. Members can work on supportive letters for nursing home residents, veterans, patients struggling in hospitals, etc. Brainstorm with your club to think of other ways you can brighten people’s days. Perhaps cook a meal for your family, donate to a food bank, or clean up litter. Even though we don’t have the full range of options as before, there’s still so much we can do.

  3. Be proactive. Reach out to local non-profits and ask them if there’s anything your club can do to help them out.

  4. No matter what happens, stay open to new ideas. Keep your eyes and ears open to current problems. Use Key Club as a way to brainstorm and problem solve.

Yes, there have been many setbacks this year, but don’t let that set you back from your highest Key Club potential! Keep trying your best to stay an active Key Club member.
